Supplement Reviews
The vast majority of "expert" sources in the diet and fitness supplement industry have hidden agendas based on selling supplements. Most fitness magazines are owned by supplement companies, athletes are paid for their endorsements, and research is often funded by the product patent holder or parent company. Because of these types of bias, it can be incredibly difficult to find objective, neutral research and experience-based information about what supplements have value, which ones are hype, and which ones might even be dangerous. Here at the Inner Circle we do not sell supplements and we never will. We have no connection whatsoever to any supplement companies and our mission is to provide honest, unbiased and well-researched information about supplements so that you can make more informed decisions.

Alpha Lipoic Acid Supplements: Do They Help With Fat Loss? By Tom Venuto
QUESTION: There are plenty of academic articles to be found about health benefits for ALA (antioxidant, blood sugar, etc), but I'm having trouble finding evidence that ALA helps with fat loss. There's info everywhere on the web about ALA but I like factual info - Is there any scientific research on alpha lipoic acid (ALA) and weight loss? . . .

Tribulus Terrestris: Can This Herb Build Muscle, Burn Fat And Boost Male Libido? By Tom Venuto
Tribulis Terrestris is a supplement (an herb) promoted as a testosterone booster and libido enhancer. Tribulus allegedly works by increasing your body's production of Luteinizing hormone (LH). LH, in turn signals the body to release more testosterone. Tribulis does seem to have a cult following, and some people swear they notice some positive effects. With claims like "bigger muscles AND a better sex life" it's no wonder that men are running to the health food store to snatch this stuff up. But don't get too excited yet. You should research this a little more before you jump to conclusions. . . .
