Got an opinion on current health news? Is something about your body-improving endeavors keeping you up at night? Did someone out in the fitness world get your goat? Did something in the diet industry strike a nerve? Have you been ripped-off? Feel the urge to vent? Need a place to put in your two cents? Want to speak your piece? (Humor and well-placed sarcasm welcome too). Here's your chance!
Introducing the Burn the Fat Inner Circle Soapbox - where members can get their opinion / editorial pieces (or rants!) published and read by thousands of fellow burners, from kindling to thermonuclear!
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or private message Tom or Kyle and include "soapbox" in the subject line. We prefer to receive an opinion/editorial idea or concept for approval first, but already completed letters or articles will be accepted and read for consideration. Videos welcome too (sometimes a proper "rant" needs to be seen and heard!) Anything goes (but tread lightly around sensitive topics, people's names or brand names). After approval, we'd like to include alongside your article a head shot photo (or a body shot / before and after photo if you choose). A short bio will also be published if you include it, plus we'll also include a link to your blog or (non-commercial) website at your request, if you have one.
"Turning 60 Is Freeing" And Other Dirty Rotten Lies
This is it. I'm no longer "in the middle." I'm sliding down the other side of the slope and it feels like it's coated with Teflon. Because of BFFM and the Inner Circle, I'm at least relatively cute - but I'm still 60. When I think I could have been one of those folks who got burned trying to walk on coals at a Tony Robbins conference I feel comforted that not many 60-year-olds were among them. If there were some of us in that crowd… well… then their brains likely look like the Swiss cheese in Doctor Amen's brain scans; oh yes, I watch PBS, as I said, I am 60

Green With Envy?
It is so exciting and inspiring to see the before and after pictures of the top transformations after each season of the Burn the Fat Challenge, and so insighful to read the the essaays of all the finishers. It is amazing to see what can be accomplished in only 49 days. But is there another side to witnessing the contest results? Are you tempted to start comparing your personal results to the overall champions and top finalists? Do you feel a slight pull in the direction of envy? One veteran burner reveals his innermost thoughts..
Rationale For Certifiable Freaks (Or... What To Say When You're Caught Dieting During the Holidays)
"Jan, why are you on another diet?" an exasperated friend, Sara, asked. Friends and family were all sitting around the fire enjoying a post Thanksgiving buzz. I felt like a buzz-killer as everyone turned to hear my answer. I could see the curiosity in their faces, and there were some who looked ready to pounce on my answer. I was thinking I should have left my car running. I knew this question was going to come up when somebody added up all the yummy stuff I was turning down all day long...
Lessons From The Two-Pounds Leaner Club
In a world where "lose 20 pounds in 30 days" is plastered in fitness magazine ads everywhere, when "Biggest Losers" are congratulated for slashing weight at incomprehensible rates of speed, and when body transformation contests bring out a drive for maximum results - even if body-composition, not weight loss is the goal - a potential danger emerges: The possibility of failing to recognize and appreciate even the smallest, slowest fat loss that is permanently maintained... could "slow burners" have an advantage?
Abandon Your Body Fat Scales???
"I've recently become concerned with the validity and usefulness of BIA scales (Bio-electric Impedance Analysis devices… a.k.a. Body Fat scales) for body composition testing. I trusted them for years before switching to calipers this past winter… at least for a ball park estimate. I now have reason to believe that their estimates (at least from home/end-user models) are incongruent with actual results, and aren't a good indicator of progress, not even over time, and can in fact mislead you into believing you're making progress when you're not, or into believing that you've lost ground when you haven't… "
Here's what people are saying about Burn The Fat and the Inner Circle...
"Tom Venuto is a credible, qualified professional who knows his stuff. More than that, he has a genuine concern for the people he's helping. His "Inner Circle" is a premier quality resource - well worth the money, and a benefit to anyone, anywhere, of any age who is trying to lose weight. I highly recommend it!"
Paul Crane, UltimateFatBurner.com
"I'll be at the Inner Circle forever. I dont think I'm every going away again. When I am there, I always feel really good, on top of the world. The people are so kind and helpful. lost 200 lbs
"I just listened to the first "Burn the Fat Show" and this one 20-minute message is at the top of my list. I have motivational CD's and books coming out the wazoo and you've set a standard in your show that I look forward to listening to again and again. Keep up the GREAT work!"."
The support here is incredible for my morale. I'm excited about the inches I've lost. In the past when I'd get halfway there, I'd lose motivation and quit. I've never made it this far and still felt motivated to keep going. "
"I have many people everyday ask me what my secret is and how I lost 137 pounds. I tell them the same thing - I use Tom Venuto's Burn The Fat - Feed The Muscle program and it all boils down to "How bad do you want it?"
"I've been following the Burn The Fat recommendations and I now fit into a pair of jeans that I havent worn in a long time. The Salvation Army must love me these days, as I've liberated 12 clothes hangers and two shelves of oversized clothes since New Years!"
