Burn The Fat 2009 Holiday Challenge Male Finalists
Narrowing down the entire field to 10 male finalists and one overall champion was no easy task. In fact, it was difficult to narrow it down to the top 20! Everyone did so well! Even our challengers who set a goal to simply maintain their weight and stay fit over the holidays made a major achievement, because most people slip backwards during the holidays. Everyone who completed this challenge is a winner in his own right. We wish that we could give the first place award to everyone. Since we couldn't do that, we decided to do something special that was not announced at the beginning of this contest. We decided to acknowledge and recognize all the top finishers on a "finalists" web page. We also decided to reward all of them with a 6 month membership to the Inner Circle. Not only that, each of our finalists is receiving a personal invitation to become an official "Burn The Fat Success Story" in one of our audio interviews with Tom (we hope they all accept!) Each champ will also have some time to talk with Tom personally before or after the "champion's interview." Now, Meet Our Champions! With his carefully-planned, strategic and scientific approach, Ryan "LBM-man" Cochrane was able to melt off 8 pounds of fat while gaining 7.7 pounds of muscle. His body weight hardly changed. Bryce may look familiar because he not only made our top finalists, he won the most muscular award. His results weren't just muscle gain though. Bryce had some of the highest numbers of all the challengers - stripping 10% body fat and 25 pounds. If we had an award for "most likely to stomp the competition in his first bodybuilding competition," he'd probably win that too! John Flood burned off 15 pounds of PURE fat with Zero muscle loss. That's what we're talkin' about! - Burn The FAT, keep the MUSCLE! This contest was only judged for 50 days, but if you visit and read John's journal you'll learn that he weighed 285 lbs 5 months ago. When he started the holiday challenge, he weighed 239. When he finished the holiday challenge he weighed 224. To continue making progress like this through the holidays, on top of his previous fantastic results is truly impressive. John was meticulous about tracking and journaling, and his use of accountability plus attention to detail paid off. Congratulations John! Of course Eric looks great from the front view too, but we couldn't resist posting this shot, for obvious reasons - the waistline shrinkage is incredible! Eric burned off 7% body fat during the Burn The Fat Holiday Challenge. I think we're supposed to insert some kind of disclaimer here, because that's TWICE the amount of fat loss that you'd expect the average person to drop in 50 days... then again, Eric is no "average" guy... he's exceptional, and so were his results! John Plante must be related to Houdini because he made his belly disappear! Let me point out, for the few people reading this who may not have followed the Burn The Fat fitness challenge closely from the start, that this stomach vanishing act did not take 12 weeks or 6 months - the results you see in these photographs occurred in 50 days! And over the holidays no less. John's results: 13.6 pounds of fat and 5.3% body fat gone even with Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's! Amazing job John!
