BURN THE FAT INNER CIRCLE FIT-TIP OF THE WEEK

Brought to You by:

Get off Your Butt Between Sets To Get More Out

Of Your Workouts

Most people choose to sit down between sets of exercises
and take long, leisurely rest intervals.

Some people take the rest periods to the extreme and have
entire conversations about politics, the latest celebrity
gossip, and even the weather, all while sitting on their
rear ends.

Longer rest intervals can definitely be important when
your training program goal is maximum strength or power.

However, you can make much better use of your time.

If burning fat is one of your primary goals, then you may
want to keep moving more between sets in order to help
increase fat loss.

But regardless of your goals, there are many advantages
to staying on your feet and moving around between sets.

Here are just a few of them:

1. Standing and moving between sets can help improve
back health and reduce the risk of back injury. Sitting
in a flexed position between sets of Back Squats or

Deadlifts, for example, can be tough on the back and may
lead to injury. Just being in the forward-flexed, seated
position causes temporary changes in spinal disc
pressures and this can contribute to a back injury!

2. Performing low intensity calisthenics or even just
walking around between sets helps to encourage circulation
of the blood. Keeping the blood circulating is beneficial
to enhance recovery between sets because your body is
able to remove lactic acid from the working muscles and
replenish energy stores more effectively.

3. Moving around between sets helps to burn more calories
and when fat loss is your goal, every little bit of
calorie-burning helps!

4. You may also find that when you move around between sets
that you stay mentally engaged and focused on the tasks at hand,
which will help you achieve better training sessions.

5. Performing staggered sets is another way to keep moving
between sets which can also save you a lot of time. A staggered
set is a type of superset where you use the time you would normally
rest in between sets to train your small muscle groups such as calves,
abdominals or forearms. For example, in between each set of back
exercises like rows or pulldowns, you can do a set for your calves
or abs.

As you can see, there are many benefits of making use of the|
time between sets that most people simply waste.

So... get off your butt between sets, keep moving more during
your entire workout, and see for yourself just how much more
efficieny you can get from every minute of your training time
